Website design

Website design for hospitality.

People arrive already half decided. Diners want the menu, the room, the hours and a way to book. Couples want the space, the dates and what the day costs. Both want it on their phone.

What gets in the way

Where these
sites go wrong.

01

The menu is the site

A menu in a PDF is the single most common mistake in hospitality. It is slow, it is unreadable on a phone and Google largely ignores it. The menu belongs on the page, in text.

02

The room sells the booking

Nobody books a table or a wedding in a room they cannot picture. Photography of the space, the table and the plate does more work than any amount of copy about passion.

03

Hours change and nobody updates them

Wrong hours cost bookings and reviews. When yours change, send them through and we update the site, so it always matches your Google listing.

The things
that earn a call.

Advanced suits most venues: the menu, the story, functions and weddings, and contact, with photography doing the selling.

  • The menu as real text on the page, never a PDF
  • Photography of the room as well as the food
  • Hours, address and a map that match your Google listing
  • A booking link straight to whatever system you already use
  • Dietary and allergen information where it can be found
  • Functions and weddings given their own page, with what a couple asks first answered up front
  • An enquiry form that asks for the date, guest numbers and the kind of event

Questions

Asked and answered.

Can you connect our booking system?

We link to it. Whether you use a third-party booking platform or take bookings by phone, the site sends people to it cleanly. We do not build the booking system itself.

Can we update the menu ourselves?

Send us the change and it is done the same week. Year one includes one small change a month, and after that it is $55 a request. We do not hand over a page builder, because that is what makes sites rot.

Can couples check our available dates on the site?

Not live. We do not build availability calendars. The enquiry form asks for their date, guest numbers and the kind of event, so you can reply with availability, or the site links to the booking or enquiry system you already use.

Do we need photography first?

It helps enormously, and food shot in your own room beats anything stock. If you do not have it we will source stock to launch with, and tell you at the brief which shots are worth booking a photographer for.
